My team Yalta Crimea Rally Team (YCRT) has decided to organize unusual championship. Its uniqueness is that it will be a Memorial Championship in memory of the tragic loss of rally pilots and navigators. We want to create a series of tournaments in which each SS will be named after one of those people. Also we hope that before the beginning of each stage, there will be a special section on our site with photos and short life stories of the people in whose name the forthcoming SS will be named. The main task of tournament we put together is to honor the memory of the people, who gave their life on the rally roads, as well as to bring closer the RBR community and to learn more about people in the rally world from the various countries.
In connection with the specified above, we are need of your help. We would wish that you, as the representative of your country, would relay this information to the RBR community in your country, and they in turn will discuss and suggest names of tragically lost pilots and navigators from your country (preference to those who died during competitions). The information we require is their names, photos and a short story about them (preferably in English). We estimate that the whole process will take about a month since we would like to begin the tournament in the middle of April. The number of names from each country we would like to receive is no more than 3-4 of the most known pilots and/or navigators in your country.
